Diane and I meet at my Uncle Tommy's funeral and kept in contact with each other.  We meet the first time when I was twelve and she was seven.  My Aunt Eileen had just given birth to my cousin Kathy.  Diane was so funny, kind and caring person I have ever met.  There wasn't anything she wouldn't do to help a person or animal.  We would talk for an hour or more on the phone about our pets and what she was doing for Pal.  Today has been very hard for John and I as I tried to call her only to find the phone was out of service.  We will miss you so very much.

I first met Diana many years ago at Stony Brook Hospital. She and I were immediate friends. What a thoughtful and caring soul. Always asked about my family. Always offered herself. I was shocked to learn of her passing ......but I am glad to think of her now traveling the heavens with Robert and the rest of her beloved family.  Rest In Peace Diana. I will never forget you. 

You are going to be missed no one will ever be able to fill your shoes in my heart.you were like a second mother to me.we would spend hours on the phone talking.I’m sorry that your gone but now you can be with your husband and your dogs that crossed over.I know Sophie misses you to as do all of us.

My dear friend Diana, we never met in person but had such a dear friendship over the past few  years, brought together by dog rescue! You were such a tremendous resource for me and we conferred on so many things. You were wise beyond your years. I will miss our evening phone conversations and the lovely friendship we shared. I am so very saddened by the loss of such a good-hearted, genuine person who I was so lucky to be friends with.

I worked with Diana on the night shift at Stony Brook’s SICU.  She never failed to offer her assistance and encouragement.  She adored her family, was a caring co worker and loving MOD (mother of dog).  She will be missed.



I was so saddened to hear of Diana's passing.  We spoke together just recently - November 21st and talked about getting together sometime in the future when it would be safe to do so.

Diana and I knew each other for over 50 years. We had a lot of fun in our sometimes misspent youth and shared a lot.  I was a bridesmaid when she married Robert.  We didn't see each other too much over the years.  The last time was a trip to one of her timeshares about a year or so ago.

RIP Diana.

dear Diana. i will miss chatting with you. i enjoyed our call just a few months ago. such a sweet lady. . you just told me how you never have had a day off  .now taking a break. whoever expected this? may you rest in peace with your husband siblings and parents. watch over the dogs. i know you took so so many with you over the bridge. not one left behind. watch over your Sophie who i know is missing you so... truly a rescue angel... sending a hug up to heaven to you sweet lady ... <3

Diana will be so missed by the Facebook chow chow rescue community.   Her support for PAL-NY and rescue chows is legendary... prayers to her family and friends during this very sad time.
