Bill married Carolyn Jean Williams on April 11, 1981. Their sweet family included 13 cats and 3 dogs.
Bill graduated from the Devereaux School in Santa Barbara, Class of 1968.
Upon returning to Salt Lake, Bill worked for The Fish and Game Department and then made a career at St. Mark’s Hospital for 47 years. His work ethic was impeccable.
Bill loved Utah History and was active in The Utah Westerners since 1975. A proud member Emeritus. He was an avid member of The YMCA for years. Bill and Carolyn spent many seasons enjoying the Utah Symphony.
His last 3 1/2 years were spent making friends and receiving love and care at Highland Care Center. We wish to express special thanks to his exceptional caregivers.
Survived by his loving wife Carolyn Jean Williams Woolsey, brother Carl Taliaferro Woolsey Jr., M.D. (Joyce), special mother-in-law Margie Williams, 18 nieces, 12 nephews, and many extended family all of whom he loved dearly.
Preceded in death by parents Carl Taliaferro Woolsey Sr., M.D., Constance Ethel Mortensen Woolsey, brothers Jim and Bob, and sister Ann.
There will be an opportunity for friends to meet with family at the viewing, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, on Monday, August 7 at 9 a.m. Graveside service to follow at 9:30 a.m.
Bill was a pure soul born perfect in this life and left this life perfect. “Meet you on the bench.”
