Steven Frank Capener was born to Sheldon T. and Dorothy L. Capener in Salt Lake City on October 01, 1941. He attended East High School. Steven married Barbara Stephens on January 16, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Our beloved husband, father, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather passed away on October 26, 2023, after fighting a short but brave battle with lung cancer. Steven leaves behind his wife of 45 wonderful years, three children; sons Guy (DeeAnn) and Sean (Shirley), and daughter Tricia, 6 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He has vacationed in England and Scotland and has visited several of the western states, including a cruise to Alaska. He loved going hunting and camping with family and friends. He was very outgoing and enjoyed talking with everyone he met. He could strike up a conversation with anyone even when at the store. You could walk into the house to find him watching his favorite news channel as he was always up-to-date on current events.
Steven was incredibly resourceful and could fix almost anything or at least would try. He enjoyed being with his family and always looked forward to our Christmas Eve tradition. He will be dearly missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert G. Capener and Thomas L. Capener.
