Staci Lyn Idema (Pollick) passed away unexpectedly August 10th at her home in Draper Utah. Staci was born August 30th, 1972 in Murray Utah. She was raised by her two parents John and Nancy, and grew up with three brothers all whom she adored greatly. Staci married Matthew Idema on September 12, 1997 and together they had three daughters Ashlee, Lauryn and Katelyn.
She is survived by her daughters, mother, two brothers; Darren and Brian, along with numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her father John and her brother Todd.
Throughout her young adult life, Staci stated that her dream was to be a mother when she grew up. She was able to fulfill her dream by being a mom that was caring, loving, organized, dependable, and so much more. She was also a proud alumni from Murray high school, worked at Canyons School District where she met some of her life long friends, and had recently started as a respected receptionist at Zwick Construction.
Staci loved her family, friends, her dogs, 80's rock music, Moab, breakfast burritos, movie nights.. not to mention her Diet Coke and coffee. She made friends anywhere she went. She was a warm light that graced any room she walked into, with her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. To know her, was to love her.
"With careful eyes we watched you
we saw you pass away.
Although we love you dearly
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating
hardworking hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
he only takes the best."
Mom, we will miss you more than words can explain. Moving forward without you will be the hardest thing we've ever had to do but we know your spirit will be by our side every step of the way.
Love,
Your Girls.
Funeral services will be held Saturday August 20th at 2:00pm at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary. All who would like to pay their respects are welcome.
