After her courageous journey with cancer, Sharon Kay Davis Weinle, 61, passed away peacefully on March 1st, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Sharon was born on April 24th, 1959, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the youngest daughter of Leland James and Barbara Nielsen Davis.
Sharon graduated from Olympus High in 1977, and graduated from BYU with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising in 1982. Following college, she met her husband, Roland Weinle. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on April 6th, 1984.
Sharon loved life and was a beautiful example of kindness to everyone who knew her. Her faithfulness to her Savior, Jesus Christ, influenced the way she lived her life. She understood the value of hard work, and always had a job from the time she was fourteen years old. She excelled in her career and acted as a compliance manager, and a broker dealer auditor. She had a strong passion for the arts, just as she had a strong passion for education. She loved sewing, drawing, dancing, reading, gardening, listening to music, traveling the world, and finding creative ways to keep things organized. She found great joy in motherhood, and always made time for her children.
Sharon was an incredible wife and mother. She loved Roland very much, and spent much of her free time working on projects and going on walks with him. She loved listening to the needs of her family, and sharing her valuable advice. She saw the good in each person she met, and encouraged others to reach the potential she saw in them. She loved to laugh, and find joy in the world around her. She was an extremely humble, kind, beautiful, courageous, trustworthy, and graceful woman. She will be remembered as someone whose presence continually made those around her better and stronger.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother-in-law, Kent Ryan. Surviving her are her husband, her three children, and four grandchildren: Roland Weinle (husband); Sean Weinle, (Katie Corbitt), Sophia, and Daniel; Kristen McDonald, (Rylee McDonald), and Cressa; and Lauren Unbedacht, (Justin Unbedacht), and Shaylie.
