Bob married the love of his life, Carolyn Crosland, on September 7, 1971 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Bob and Carolyn were blessed with four children. He was an active member of the LDS Church and fulfilled his callings to the fullest. People often spoke about the inspiring classes he taught.
Bob graduated from the University of Utah and spent his career as an accountant working at EME, ESCO, and Gibbons & Reed Construction Company. He valued education and made sure all of his children had the opportunity to go to college. He had a great love of the outdoors and some of his favorite memories came from camping, hiking, fishing, and road trips with his family. He enjoyed University of Utah Football games and often talked of his trip to the Fiesta Bowl with his son. Growing up in Farmington he learned the skill of gardening from his father. Bob could often be found working in his own garden in the backyard of his home. He will always be remembered for his love of music, photography, running, and his energetic joy of playing baseball, tennis, badminton, and basketball. He loved his family so much and often talked about how proud he was of them.
Survived by his Wife Carolyn; Sister Donna Hyde; Children David (Wendy), Charlene, Linda, and Sandi; Grandchildren Mackenzie, Ashley, Brendan, and Scottie. Preceded in death by his parents Lloyd and Trudy and his younger brother Richard Michael.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. at the Gregson Ward (3153 South 900 East) in Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary (3401 Highland Drive) and Wednesday from 10:45-11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be held at the Farmington City Cemetery.
He will be greatly missed by his Wife, Sister, Children, Grandchildren, and everyone who knew him. We love you!
