For my grandmother...

I see her in the crimson trail,
Near trees of red and gold
Emerging from the autumn fog
Her walks along the road

She knew of nature’s details
Knew to be still and listen
She’d close her eyes and I could swear
She could hear the river glisten

And quietly on winter mornings
We’d flip through her glossy bird book
She’d point out the big east window
Saying, “There’s a blue jay, dear, come look!”

And kneeling near the primrose
In evenings of late spring
She’d weed and prune with tender care
Listening to the birds sing

On hikes, she’d tread with steady patience
While the rest of us complained
She’d distract us with facts about ferns and aspens
Pointing out their different leafy veins

Now the colors this fall are vibrant
Like the smile that would dawn her face
Her joy in the seemingly smallest things
Can never be erased

Good bud Glen,
The timing of Regan’s passing, although a shock, may turn out to be a blessing to you.
You have been such a devoted care giver and her rock but will now be able to look forward with joy and new purpose in your own beautiful life.
Know of my willingness to talk, hit the golf ball, and share sports talk any time.  After things settle down for you, I am there.

Regan was one of the deepest, kindest, most loving woman I have ever known. She loved God deeply and was always on a journey to know Him more intimately. Her deepest desire was true union with her creator and Bridegroom King. I was able to enjoy several trips and intimate women's gatherings with Regan. She was a true friend. She will be dearly missed. She has been dearly missed for some time now, as she struggled with her health and it was enough too much for her to see many of us and be with us like we were all familiar. She always made me laugh. It may be cliche, but, I believe she is truly free now and in complete union with Her Beloved, as she always desired. She was meant to live fully alive, but, the last several years restricted that. Leave it to Regan to pass through the veil during the Feast of Tabernacles. Now, she is abiding under her eternal tabernacle forever, where every tear has been wiped away. There is no more death, sorrow, hunger, thirst or pain any longer. Shine brightly my dear friend.

I only knew Regan a short time but it was an instant "kindred spirit connection," and her love and kindness are cherished gifts she deposited in my life. Blessings to all who are feeling the loss of her presence here.

Regan was a beautiful precious woman of God.  She loved to be outdoors and to travel.  I was blessed to be her friend and to be able to travel with her to various places over the years.  She was kind to all and enjoyed meeting new people.  She took the time to get to know each person individually.  She listened intently to people’s life stories.  By doing that, she held many close to her heart.  Regan shared with me many times, “Rest in Him. God is holy!”  I know she is resting in His presence and singing with the angels, Holy, Holy, Holy is our God.
