Olive Grace Shirleymae Lewis Jones

She was born on September 22, 1924 to Arthur C. and Elizabeth Krause Lewis in Spokane, WA. She was married to William Rowley Jones on December 16, 1945 in Spokane, WA.

Olive graduated from Utah State Agricultural College in Elementary Education in 1947. She always enjoyed reading and was able to share her passion as an elementary teacher for the Salt Lake School District. She founded and ran Jones Bee Company for 40 years with her husband, and always enjoyed working with the customers and being part of the beekeeping community.

She loved being surrounded by family and enjoyed hearing about the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and even great-great-grandchildren. They loved hearing her clever takes on life and learning from her unending arsenal of knowledge.

She is survived by her children William Michael (Nancy) Jones, Stephen Arthur (Joylyn) Jones, David Allen (Marj) Jones, Elizabeth Anne Jones (Steven) Goold, daughter-in-law Vera Kathleen Jones, 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband William Rowley Jones, sons Richard (Kathleen) Lewis Jones and Marion Lewis “Skip” Jones, grandsons Timothy Lewis Jones and Adrian Jones, and great-grandson Jessie James Jones.

Funeral services will be held, Thursday, January, 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Capitol Hill Chapel, 413 N. West Capitol Street. Interment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S Highland Drive.
