Mary Elizabeth Martin Vincent passed away October 16, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah, due to a sudden brain aneurysm. Mary was born October 23, 1928 to Lawrence L. and Edith N. Martin. She was raised in Park City, Utah, graduating from Park City High in 1945 where she played clarinet in the marching band. She married Tom Vincent of Midway soon after he returned from the Korean War. They settled in Salt Lake City where she lovingly raised her family.
She was a very giving person who prepared meals and gifts for others in time of need. Some of her favorite pastimes were gardening, baking, crafts, puzzles, photo albums, playing cards, volunteering at Christ United Methodist Church (CUMC), and spending time with family and friends. She spent many summers with Tom, family, and their gang of friends at their ranch in Montana.
Mary is survived by her three children, David (Ann), Larene (Steve) Pearce, and Janette (Eric) Mittelstadt; eight grandchildren, Cody (Stacie) Pearce, Serena Pearce (fiancé Jim Robertson); Thomas, Sam, and James Vincent; Alec, Cullen, and Ella Mittelstadt; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom, parents, and sister, Florence (Nate) Cossey.
