My darling wife Marilyn returned to her Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 24, 2023, surrounded by her family. Marilyn was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 2, 1951, to Wayne Lowell and Wilma Davis Jensen. The oldest of 3 Children, she spent her childhood years growing up with her 2 brothers in Magna, Utah until the family moved to Granger/West Valley City before she started high school at Granger High. She attended Elementary at Webster and Magna Elementary and Junior High at Brockbank Junior High. She graduated from Granger High School in the Class of 1969. During her time at Granger High, she made many cherished friendships that have held strong to this day. She attended 2 years of college at Snow College from 1969-1971 during her time in Ephraim. She continued her education up in Logan at Utah State University where she received both her bachelor’s and associate's degrees over those 4 years of schooling.
After her schooling and the time leading up to marriage, Marilyn joined and became a member of The Mormon Youth and Symphony Choir. She performed as an alto and met her eternal companion, Eric Dan Richhart. They married and were sealed for time and all eternity in The Salt Lake Temple on January 12, 1978. If my darling wife Marilyn had lived until our wedding anniversary on January 12th, we would have celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary early. Marilyn and Eric made their first home as a couple in Bountiful, Utah. Later, they moved to Magna, Utah, first in old Magna at the home of her grandparents who had previously died. They then moved to the current family home, also in Magna, where she lived at the time of her passing.
Marilyn and Eric started their family when Jared arrived on November 10, 1979, and then 19 months later, Heidi completed their family on June 26, 1981.
She was a very devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend, niece and cousin.
She has 4 cherished grandchildren whom she loves very much. She has other special children in her life whom she loves as grandchildren as well, She calls them her “Church Grandchildren”.
A very devoted and faithful member of the LDS church where she served primary for many years and has such a deep love for all the children she taught which she loved to this day.
