Marilyn Reber Pulsipher (82) returned to live with her Heavenly Father on July 27, 2021. We know she is thrilled to be reunited with her sweetheart, Frenchie, to whom she was married for 57 years before his passing in 2015. Family was everything to mom and dad! Together they raised six children: Joan Little (Kevin), Gary Pulsipher (Linda), Kirk Pulsipher, Kim Roberts (Nate), Jeff Pulsipher (Kerity), Marci Dagley (Jarrod). Marilyn was the epitome of service, compassion, charity, and integrity to all people, including her 22 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was proud of her humble beginnings. Growing up on a farm in Littlefield, AZ taught her many lifelong values, one being how to work hard. She was born November 3, 1938 in St. George, Utah to goodly parents, Harold and Doris Reber, and is survived by one brother, Lee Reber. Brothers, Bryce and Donald Reber, along with sisters, Shirley Smith and Gladys Olson, preceded Marilyn in death.
Marilyn used to say, “Food is love.” Many benefitted from her homemade meals and treats. The door to her home was always open to others, and there was a sweet spirit there. She was a nurturer and thought of others before herself.
Running a daycare was part of her life for over 20 years, and she was known as “Grandma Marilyn” to countless children on whom she had a lifelong impact.
Marilyn loved making traditions, and a family favorite was having dinners in her home every Sunday night. Nothing made her happier than a house full of her children and grandchildren.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a testimony of her Savior Jesus Christ, and it showed in her countenance.
Mom, we love you to the moon and back! Until we meet again!
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 14th, at 10 am at the LDS church on 1701 Granite Hills Drive in El Cajon, CA.
