Dear cousins Julie, Naomi and Jimmy, our hearts are saddened by the passing of favorite aunt Margene.  She was our family advice nurse for a lifetime.  My brother, Kirk, and I have fond or not so fond memories of her giving us flu shots and other vaccines as children.  Not til we were older did we really appreciate her service.  Margene took special interest in all of us, our children, grandchildren, and ailing parents.  She always genuinely cared for everyone.  Her faith has been an example to me in my life, as I watched her stay strong through many trials.  We will always love you Margene, and are happy you have been reunited with your sweet hubby, Max,my Mom and Dad (Del and Eula Fagg), and many others who have gone before. P.S.  We are so sorry to have missed the funeral.  I am sure it was wonderful, as was Max's.

Julie, Naomi, Jim and all of your family,

I wish I could have been there today to give you a big hug.  Your mom was always my favorite auntie with a smile and hug.  She will be missed!  Love you guys!

A lifetime has past since I have heard the name Margene Withers. I am sorry to hear of her passing for having Max, Margene Julie an Naomi as our neighbors on 27th so. was a great pleasure as I remember. May all of your memories be close to your heart an she will always be with you.

Dear Julie and your entire family, I was so sad and sorry to hear about your Mom. MarGene was exactly as you described in the obituary. I met your Mom the first day I started at LDS Hospital. She was always an amazing, smart head nurse a leader in knowing what was right. She always did the right thing with her staff and the surgeons loved and respected her in making sure their patients were safe. She was a great mentor, friend, colleague, and example. When we went to lunch as retired nurses, we all wanted to sit by Margene. She was an anchor to us and many others. I will look forward to seeing her again. My thoughts and prayers and love are with you.

Please accept my sympathy at this difficult time.  Torg has shared many stories about the tremendous positive influence your mother was in his life, and it sounds like she made a similar impression on all she worked with. What a marvelous example!  You are in my thoughts and prayers.

So sorry to hear that Margene has left us. I worked with her at LDS hospital for 15 years and felt very fortunate. She took me under her wing as a new nurse. She supported my roles in Infection Control and Quality! Everyone loved working with her. They new she would supervise, coach and teach!

I worked for Margene for years on W7 and she truly was a wonderful boss and friend.   learned many things from her and am so blessed to have worked for her

I first met Margene in 1957 as a teenager, when my family moved to Salt Lake City, Garden Heights Ward.  Margene was in my ward and it was the first time I had ever heard someone with my name.  I was blessed to teach her two amazing daughters in Jr. Sunday School.
I had a close friend that had Margene as a heart surgical nurse and she called me from the hospital and told me about a Margene that was so great in helping her.
I again crossed paths with Margene several years ago at Steiner Aquatic and we both recognized each other - she is an amazing individual.
I am sorry for your loss.
