Karen Jean Curtis, also known as Tiger, was born March 16, 1953 and peacefully passed away on Dec 3, 2023, in West Jordan, Utah. She was a beautiful lady with a smile that lit up the room and was known for her sweet and kind nature, she had no malice towards anyone.
Karen attended Hillsdale Elementary and Granite Park Jr. high schools and later graduated from Granite High School. She cherished her education and valued the knowledge she gained throughout her academic journey.
Karen was an active member of the community and found solace in her faith. She worshipped at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married her lifelong sweetheart DeLon Curtis in The Salt Lake Temple July 9, 1971, where she later served as an ordinance worker.
Karen often volunteered in various manners, which included serving her church in multiple capacities, most notably as a greeter at the church for 25 years, because church leaders valued her warm welcoming demeanor, and bright smile that made everyone she met feel valued and cared for. She also worked as a primary and Sunday school teacher and was a home teacher with her eternal partner. She was also honored to serve two stake missions.
Karen, born Karen Jean Bradley, is survived by her loving husband, Delon Curtis, her children Kory Curtis, and Heather (Eric) Curtis-George, her grandchildren Koby, Kaceeus, Rory, Kortni, and Esme. Her siblings, Susan (Kendall) Draper, and David (Carolyn) Bradley. She was a surrogate mother to two foster children, Ida and Christine who she deeply adored. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Perry and Margaret Bradley.
Karen's sweet and comforting presence will be felt for a long time to come, and missed by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
