Justin was born in Salt Lake City on May 21, 1970, to devoted parents George Rex and Saundra Lee Parker. He loved his siblings Darin, Ryan, Kevin, and Rebecca. He was a bright, energetic child who enjoyed exploring the outdoors. He earned his Eagle scout award and became an avid skier. He graduated from East High where he was proud to be the president of the barbershop quartet and participated in memorable shenanigans with his friends.
Justin married Katherine Metcalf in the Salt Lake Temple on June 30, 1992, the beginning of a beautiful eternal family. To know Justin is to know how much he adored his wife! He expressed his love for his angel Katherine to everyone and spoiled her with fresh flowers and beach vacations. He was extremely proud of his five amazing sons Andrew, Sam, Eli, Rex, and Oliver and they had many fun adventures together! He was delighted when Lindsey and London married into the family and he finally got daughters. He was overjoyed to be "Papa D" to his darling granddaughter Elsie and another sweet grandbaby is due in December. Family was everything to Justin!
Justin attended the University of Utah, then moved to San Francisco for dental school at University of the Pacific where he studied hard and together with Katherine made many lifelong friends. After graduating top of his class, Justin, like his father, completed his orthodontic residency at St. Louis University. Upon returning to Utah, Justin started his own private practice, Parker Orthodontics. Dr. Parker was meticulous in providing the best care for patients. He kept up with the latest techniques and innovations. He worked hard to create bright smiles and built people along the way, cheerfully encouraging patients and celebrating their straightened teeth with disco lights! His patients and staff in Murray, Utah, and Bullhead, Arizona will miss his expertise and enthusiasm.
Justin served as a stellar missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Geneva, Switzerland, and in doing so, he developed a love for all people and a strong testimony of the Savior. He was committed to the gospel and served diligently. As an extraordinary scoutmaster, he planned exciting adventures, built the best camps, and cooked gourmet meals. He was a gifted Primary teacher; his animated personality brought the scriptures to life! Justin served in the Salt Lake Temple and felt honored to sing in the temple choir.
Justin lived life with passion. With his family, he enjoyed boating vacations to Lake Powell, 4-wheeling, fishing, and snowmobiling at the cabin in Hanna, and trips to Newport Beach. Justin was driven, constantly training with friends for the next race or challenge. He was a competitive biker, completed LoToJa twice, finished the Kona Ironman, and ran an ultra-marathon. Justin was also a chef and grillmaster; his prime rib was famous. Justin was entertaining, engaging and non-judgmental. He quickly became friends with strangers, cheered for the underdog, and naturally reached out to give a hand to anyone in need.
Justin was preceded in death by his brother Ryan; Katherine's parents Robert and Joyce Metcalf and two of her siblings Angela and Matt. He is survived by his loving wife Katherine; his children Andrew (Lindsey) and grandchild Elsie, Sam (London) and baby coming soon, Eli, Rex, and Oliver; his parents Sam and Saundra; his siblings Darin (Rachelle), Kevin (Deana), and Rebecca; his in-laws Brad (Jan) Metcalf, Dave (Karalee) Metcalf, Shauna (Brent) Watts, Rich (Cindy) Metcalf, Jon (Dawn) Metcalf, Mike (Jane) Metcalf, and Sue (Jim) Hammons; as well as 50 adoring nieces and nephews.

After a concussion caused by a fall during a bike race, Justin began a private battle with depression. Please be kind to others and yourself.
