JEANNE BILLS CLUFF, beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2011 at the age of 84, exactly four years to the date following the passing of her husband. Jeanne was born the 6th child of 9 siblings on March 6, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilford Lester and Rhoda Irene Vincent Bills. She graduated from South High School where she met her husband, DeMoine Cluff. She was employed as a bookkeeper in various companies and retired after 21 years from the University of Utah as an accountant in the payroll department. Jeanne loved to work in her yard, was an excellent seamstress, and will be remembered for the wonderful handmade gifts given to family, co-workers and neighbors. She loved the Christmas season with its emphasis on giving to others, lightening burdens and bringing cheer through colorful creations.
Jeanne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served faithfully in various positions in the Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary organizations. She demonstrated an unwavering faith in the Savior, Jesus Christ and His Gospel plan of salvation. She loved and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will remember her for kindness, faith and gentle sense of humor.
Jeanne is survived by her children Stephanie Watts (Bill); Ronald C. Cluff; Richard B. Cluff (Ann); Sharon Cook; 21 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, DeMoine; son, Mark S. Cluff (Lana); parents and siblings. The family would like to express appreciation to Cherie Uzzel and the wonderful staff at Alta Ridge in Holladay and Millcreek Hospice for their loving, tender care given to mom during her illness.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive. Family will greet friends at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Condolences may be made to www.wasatachlawn.com
