Jean Norton Patrick passed away peacefully on December 2, 2016 at the age of 96. She was was born December 13, 1919 in Panguitch, Utah to Robert William Norton and Tyresha O. Myers Norton. Raised by stepmother Mary Ann Robinson. She served a mission in the Southern States and had a strong testimony of the Gospel, also serving faithfully in many callings throughout her long life. She was married in the Salt Lake Temple to Michael Dean Patrick on March 25, 1949. They were finally blessed with three children, Michael (Lynda), Danial (Christi) and JaNene Parrish (Douglas). Her life was centered around her children and grandchildren.
She had a profound love of people and music. She possessed more talents than we can name and shared them with others as she loved, served, and influenced everyone. She had perfected Christlike attributes that others felt and learned from. She was known as Mom, Grandma, Grams, Jean, and Aunt Jean to everyone else.
She is survived by her children, 13 grandchildren (the loves of her life), 35 great grandchildren, brother Howard Norton (Betty), sisters Amy Mitchell (Norm), Louise Thomas, Mary Lou Leuders, and Elaine Pappas, and numerous nieces, nephews, as well as unnumbered others who called her “Aunt Jean”.
Her beautiful legacy will be forever remembered in all our lives. She always told everyone, “I love you”. Grandma, you are finally home.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at the LDS Stratford Ward House, 1540 East Stratford Ave (2600 South), Salt Lake City, Utah. Viewing on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6:00 - 8:00 p,m., and on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to Funeral services at 11:00 a.m.
