Salt Lake City, Utah-Gayle Bartschi, age 60, died May 26, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The daughter of Mabel and Darel Bartschi, she was born August 8, 1952. Gayle participated in many Special Olympics competitions; Sunrise Dancers at the University of Utah; and was a longtime client of the Work Activity Center. Preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by sisters, Karen Shields, Phoenix, AZ; Joyce Wall, Bountiful, UT; Sue Domina, Carson City, NV; and Janet Gracey, Sandy, UT.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Hillcrest Ninth LDS Ward, 915 East 9045 South, Sandy, Utah. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah, and at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to WAC, 1275 W. 2320 So., West Valley City, Utah 84119.
