He was born August 8, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hyrum George John Cook, and Gloria McDonald Cook.
Frank served in the United States Army, from 1971 to 1972 during the Vietnam era, as an MP in Germany.
Frank married Leslie Joanne West, and took on the role of a stepfather to her son Jonathan Lance Wootton. Frank and Leslie had two daughters together, Kiera Lee Cook and Crystal Joy Cook. Frank and Leslie later divorced.
Frank married Kathy Manemann and again became a stepfather to another son, Derek Smock, and daughter, Shannon Smock. Frank and Kathy had a son together, Justin James Cook. Frank and Kathy later divorced.
Frank was survived by children, Kiera Cook, Justin Cook and his stepson, Jon Wootton, 10 grandchildren, five great grandchildren. Siblings, Ron, Heidi, Kenneth, also many nieces and nephews.
Frank was proceeded in death by his parents, daughter-Crystal Cook, sister-Caren Finley, brother-Keith Brighton Cook, baby sister-Victoria, and grandson-Tristan Campbell.
Frank loved his family and his friends immensely and without conditions! He never judged you and he supported you, even if he didn’t agree with you. He was either your bro, Uncle Frankie or your dad…to everyone who knew him. He always had a hug for you or a rock n’ roll ! He told the best stories, even if you heard it 10 times.. you were going to hear it again! He cared about everyone and would give you his last nickel if needed. He will sure be missed on this side.
