Edward Russell Rutledge Brown left us on August 22, 2024, after courageously battling bladder cancer for the last two years. Russ was born to Albert Edward Brown and Susan Ann Brown on May 18, 1977, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Russ worked as a glass-cutter for many years. He was with Glaz Tech Industries for almost 20 years. While the work was hard, he loved every minute of it and the friendships that he gained.
Russ was honored to have met and married the love of his life, Connie Brown. They married on July 25, 2001, and were blessed with four sons, Levi, Cameron, Dylan, and K’ydn (nephew) whom he loved with all his heart. He was even more blessed when given the most incredible grandchild and bonus grand-child, Lorenzo and Emma. As the cutest princess, Emma was the apple of his eye, and Lorenzo was the cutest superhero ever. They were inseparable until the day he passed.
He loved the University of Utah football team and would never miss a game. "Go, Utes."
Russ had a great, friendly personality and made people happy and needed. He was always there for ANYONE in need and would give his last dollar to help someone without asking for anything in return. He was always making others laugh; he will be missed immensely.
Russ loved anything and everything about space. You could see him searching for different things for hours and talking to his family about everything he could see.
Russ is survived by his wife, Connie Brown; his children Levi Kunkel, Cameron Brown, Dylan Brown, and K’ydn (nephew); his granddaughter, Emma Brown; and bonus grandson, Lorenzo Martinez. His mother, Susan Brown, his siblings, Mary (Eddie) Allgier, Catherine (Joe) Davis, Michael Endean, Andy (Jooles) Endean, Carolyn (Ben) Bruce, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents on both sides, his father, Albert Edward Brown, and Sister, Suzette Huybregts.
The family wants to thank Russ's friends Jimmy Jukes and Steven Smith, as well as several other friends, doctors, and nurses, for their kind care and friendship.
A funeral service will be held at Wasatch Lawn Memorial on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 2:00 PM with a viewing from 1:00-1:45 PM. There will be a luncheon afterward to celebrate his life at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel at , 6170 West Marcrest Drive 3085 South, West Valley City, Utah.
