Donna Grace Nelson Walton, born November 7, 1928, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on March 31, 2022. Donna was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy L. and Mary Mayona Nelson, her brother, Ernest and sister, Roylene Monson.
Donna met and married her husband, Lane Walton, and together they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah; they were later divorced. Donna’s first job was with Pet Dairy. Later on she became a waitress and worked at the Ramada Inn and Little America Restaurants, until she had knee surgery, which prohibited her from returning to work.
Donna is survived by her three children: Karen Walton, and her twin sons, Lane (Kathlene) and Wayne (Holly) Walton. She also leaves behind five grandchildren; Nicole, Heidi, Justin, Shayna and Brynn, as well as nine great-grandchildren: Chase, Katri, Olivia, Dominique, Kassidy, Kree, Kash, Nolan, and Mitchell.
We would like specifically thank Heidi and Marzana, and the rest of the staff at Sun Crest Hospice for their tender loving end-of-life care for our beautiful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great- grandmother, neighbor and friend which brought us all great peace.
The family will be holding a private graveside service at a later date.
