David was born to Leo and Florence Barrett on September 16, 1937. David had a very active childhood and loved to ice skate at Liberty Park, play baseball, and we are sure, create mischief.
Dave married Jessie M. Smith of July 4, 1964. They had two children, Angie and David and granddaughters Brooklyn, Aubrie, Ava and Paisley of which he adored. Dave and Jessie are together again. He missed her every day.
Dad will be missed for many things. He always had a joke, a weather report, or an opinion to share. His overall concern was the wellbeing of his family. He loved sports and was an excellent arm chair referee. He loved the Mountains. He loved feeding and watching the birds in his yard.
Dad was always there for his family. We love you Dad.
We will take care of Ebony.
