Donald Duane Pitts

Donald Duane Pitts, 85 year-old resident of Jones, OK, passed away Feb. 18, 2016 in Jones, OK. Born April 6, 1931 in Geary, Oklahoma, he was the son of Oman Pitts and Zora Viola (Winebarger) Pitts. Donald was a proud Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He loved horses and cars; going to Shuff’s Café in Jones, OK; and collected watches. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his wives, Betty Jo and Helen; 2 sisters; and 1 brother. Survivors include 1 daughter, Marsha Pitts of Douglas, Arizona; 2 step-sons, David Ritchie of Pine Creek, OK; and Terry Ritchie of Wellston, OK; 2 step-daughters, Teresa Allen of Jones, OK; and Lisa Nolan of Jones, OK; 1 sister, Mary Hass of El Reno, OK; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery Pavilion. Following Military Honors being rendered by the U. S. Army Honors Detail burial will take place in Jones I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jones, Oklahoma.
