Carl Lavern Worley, 90, of Midwest City, passed away on Nov. 18, 2015. He was born near Durham, Oklahoma to the late Joel Marion and Emma Belle Worley. He grew up in Western Oklahoma and graduated from Reydon High School. He was a WW II U.S. Navy veteran serving in the South Pacific – one of the “greatest generations.” In addition to over 30 years of insurance service, he was active in the community as past president of the Kiwanis Club of Midwest City and served on the board of St. Matthews Methodist Church. Carl is preceded in death by his first wife Catherine, his parents and his siblings Orien Worley, Willa Mae Taylor, Anna Belle Ellis, Jessie Creech, Oleta Spurlin, Joel Worley and Virgie Wallace. He is survived by his second wife Jeanette and his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Son Gary (Carol) Worley; Daughter Barbara (Gary) Cobb: grandchildren Christopher (Mel) Cobb, Brittney Parker; Son Joe (Kate) Worley; grandchildren Joel (Catherine) Worley, Evan (Alecha) Worley; Daughter Carla (Steve) Thomas; grandchildren Allison (Scott) Griffith; Natalie (Jonathan) Davis and Rachel Thomas. Great-grandchildren Andrew, Axton, Julia, Elsa, Shepherd, Braden and Christian. He is also survived by Jeanette’s children; Glen (Becky) Lentz, Susan (Mike) Kitchens, Mike (Cheryl) Lentz, his sister-in-law Wilma Worley, numerous nieces and nephews. Carl-Dad-Papa will be deeply missed by those blessed to know and love him. Visitation 1:00-8:00 pm on Sunday Afternoon, Nov. 22nd at Paylor Funeral Home in Midwest City. Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at 1:00 pm at St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Midwest City, OK with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Okla. City, OK.
