I'm so sorry to hear about a good friend, that I worked with for years at the county.
I remember when he started for the police department. He was a great person and we're going to miss him. My condolence to the family and may God watch over them

My goodness, I was so sorry to hear about Bob; I worked with him in the law enforcement community in the 80s and 90s and always felt at ease with his friendly and humorous demeanor. He spoke fondly about looking forward to going on cruises with Patty and  playing golf. I don't know you Patty but I am very sorry for your loss.

So sorry for you loss.  Bob made Salif and I feel so welcome on the cruises. I only wished we had met sooner and had more opportunities to cruise with the two of you. He had a great sense of humour and his graphics and excitement on the roll calls was a great buildup to the cruise. I was looking at a cruise earlier and the roll call was rather boring.  I thought to myself that the roll call could really use Bob's touch. Cruising won't be the same without him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. I hope you can find some comfort in the memories of the times you spent together.

Although I only knew Bob from his warm & friendly posts on CC, I felt like we were family.  He had a heart of gold, really enjoyed living life to the fullest & that should be a lesson to us all. Bob even reached out to me when he knew I was traveling in VA during the earthquake to see if I was OK. My deepest condolences to you and your family at this difficult time. A friend and I had the pleasure of sailing on Celebrity Horizon way back in 2004 with Bob and Pat as our next-door neighbors. We heard him before we ever saw him, and when we finally met him .... we were constantly in stitches because of his humor and fun-loving attitude! It was a wonderful 12 night voyage and we thoroughly enjoyed our new friendship with both Bob and Pat. Though the years, Bob always kept in touch and  he always invited us along on the the voyages that he and Pat planned. I will miss Bob's always happy spirit and kind heart. Rest in peace, friend! And dear Pat, our thoughts are with you...

As a former Chesterfield Dispatcher-1979-1984[I think we actualy started at the same time] I really enjoyed working with him. As Steve Davis says, he was a joy to work with and always had a twinkle in his eye. He really enjoyed his job.
After I left I did not see him for years. But one day we ran into a each other in a store. It was like we had never stopped working together. We had seen each other from time to time over the years since and it was always the same.

Had the pleasure of working with U-109 at Chesterfield PD as a dispatcher.  Always knew it was him without the unit # being spoken.  Sorry for your lost.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lopez family and our brothers and sisters of Chesterfield Police.  Bob was a great friend to the Fire Department and all the firefighters.  He enjoyed stopping by the fire station and talking with the guys.  He was always there to support us when we needed him on the street. May he rest in peace. I worked with Bob for many years and I was very shocked and saddened that he passed away.  Bob always kept me laughing and was a wonderful, warm man.  I fondly remember many mornings at Bill's BarBQue and at the local fire station.He will be missed. My prayers are with you and your family.

Pat, I am deeply sorry for your loss. Bob and I had many fun times years ago playing in the County Golf tournaments. He was a fierce competitor and always tried to do his best. He was a great Police Officer for Chesterfield County and left his mark on the community. To this day people still ask if I know Bob Lopez.

We only got to know the two of you during that last two Jewel repositioning cruises, but we will never forget Bob's enthusiasm and love of life.
