Richard Reeves Whitt, Jr., 79, of Chesterfield, went to be with the Lord January 26, 2021. Reeves proudly worked over 55 years at A.M. Davis Inc. and loved all things cars and Motorsports, and shared his passion with his sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard R. "Dick" Whitt Sr. and Dorothy Laughon "Dot" Whitt. He was the husband of Martha Owen Whitt (his wife of 59 years). He is also survived by two sons, Richard R. Whitt III and his wife, Jeanne and David O. Whitt and his wife, Hiliary; his sisters, Mary Busbee (Howard) and Kathy Perry (Ronnie),; his brother, Spencer Whitt (Debby); and four grandchildren, Reeves, Carley, Sergey and Cullen. If you so choose, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to Providence United Methodist Church, 901 S. Providence Road, Richmond, Va. 23236. There will be a celebration of his life at a later date.
