Richard Preston Mawyer "Buck" went to be with his Lord Jesus on June 12, 2022 at the age of 75.
He has joined his beloved and cherished parents, Elizabeth Lacy Vest and Hobson Richard Mawyer.
He is survived by his sisters Arlene Hanks (Ken), and Gayle Miller (David) and numerous nieces, nephews.
Preston worked at Chesterfield Employment Services for forty one years.
He was a friend to everyone and always had kind words. He never met a stranger. Highlights in his life were participating in Special Olympics, spending Christmas with "the Browns" golfing with "Ken" , family vacations, bowling and spending time with his best friend Joe King. For forty years he faithfully supported the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, by collecting pennies from numerous friends.
