Raymond Denquer Smith

Raymond D. Smith, 91, of Midlothian, Virginia passed away peacefully on Thursday October 24, 2024. Raymond served in the United States Air Force from 1952 to 1956, where he was stationed in Japan and Korea. He worked for many years in sales at NCR, TEC America in New York, and retired from John Hancock in Richmond, Virginia in 2016. Ray loved photography, vacationing at North Myrtle Beach every year, and playing golf. He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughter, Laura; sons, Raymond, Patrick, Brian, and Chris; and 7 grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend A Celebration of Life for Raymond on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, Virginia 23113. A memorial service will be held Monday, November 4, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Road, Amelia, Virginia 23052.
