Michael Keith Pettway

Michael was born on February 12, 1960 in Richmond, VA. Michael worked for E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company as an electrician for 29 years, achieving the rank of Master Electrician. Most recently, he worked in their experimental lab. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 10 and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 666.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick R. Pettway and survived by his mother Carley Pettway Carpenter of Glen Allen, VA; his brothers Frederick R. Pettway, Jr. of Richmond,VA; Dr. John B. Pettway of Dallas, TX; Richard S. Pettway of Gloucester, VA; and nephew Frederick Read Pettway III of Richmond, VA and many members of his extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 5-7PM. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11AM at the Huguenot Chapel with interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
