McGEE,. Lois Harmon, went to be with the Lord on February 8, 2014 at 5:38 p.m. She is survived by her loving daughter, Barbara W. Hall and son-in-law, H.A. Hall; three grandchildren, Stephen Hall and wife, Diane, Stefanie Williams and husband, Vernon, and Scott Hall and wife, Amy; twelve great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Ms. McGee had recently celebrated her 91st birthday on January 28, 2014. She was a long time member at Clover Hill Baptist Church for a number of years. She was well known for her “Minnie-the-Pearl” impersonations and her experienced green thumb, evidenced in the beautiful garden she kept at her home in Chesterfield County. Ms. McGee regularly held Sunday dinners at her home for her family, a tradition she continued well into her eighties. For the last five years, Ms. McGee has been a resident of Southerland Place. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Clover Hill Baptist Church, 3100 Courthouse Road, Richmond. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will be held at Dale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Women’s Missionary Fellowship of Clover Hill Baptist Church for their kind support of Ms. McGee’s family during this time, as well as their deep love and ministry of friendship to Ms. McGee while she was at Southerland Place.
