Linda Sturdivant Nester

Linda Sturdivant Nester, 79, of Richmond, Virgina, passed away on September 7, 2024. Born on May 5th,1945, in Princeton, West Virginia. Linda was the daughter of Leonard and Mary Ellen Sturdivant. She was a dedicated 2nd grade teacher for many years after she graduated from Longwood College with a degree in education. Later she went into educational sales and traveled the state of Virginia for her work. She retired from sales and spent time visiting friends and family. Linda was particularly passionate about gardening. Linda is survived by her son, Brent Nester and daughter-in-law Kylee; her sister, Jane Sturdivant; and grandchildren Owen and Luke. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 4:00PM at Woody Funeral Home, Midlothian, Virginia. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Linda Nester’s life. Linda will be remembered for kindness, caring, helping others, and love of children. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
