MORGAN, Lillian Virginia Jones, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt passed away January 2, 2014. She was born on April 15, 1920 in Richmond, the sixth of seven children of Percy and Annie Pitt Jones, who had immigrated from Great Britain. She was educated in Chesterfield and Richmond Public Schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Campbell Morgan, who died in 1980. During World War II, Mrs. Morgan joined in the home front effort by working at the former Crawford Manufacturing Company making parachutes and life preservers. She stayed with Crawford until her retirement. In her leisure time, she enjoyed relaxing and boating at the family cottage on the Rappahannock River. She was a long time member of Bethany Place Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, John Campbell Morgan, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Midlothian, their children, John Campbell Morgan, III of New York City, and Anne Wesley Morgan Blanco and her husband, Otto of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and their son, Aaron. She is also survived by several devoted nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by her entire family. Services are private and no formal visitation is planned.
