March 15, 1937 – June 29, 2024

Julia Ann Smith (87) of Richmond, VA went home to be with the Lord on June 29th, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Litchford and Margaret Winston, stepfather John Winston, daughter Barbara Jean Raikes, son Elwood Lawrence Smith Jr, and siblings Ethel Brown, Garland Litchford, and Myra Custalow. She is survived by her daughter Lois Raikes Tatum, son Rocky Raikes (Debbie) and daughter Dana McNeil (Michael), 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 5 siblings.
She was a chartered member of Midlothian Baptist Church where she attended services and volunteered in the children’s ministry. She faithfully prayed for her family and friends and served the Lord however she could. The family will receive friends from 2 - 4 pm and again at 6 - 8 pm on July 3rd, 2024 at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel. The service will be held at 10:30 am on July 5th, 2024 at Midlothian Baptist Church on Lucks Lane in Midlothian, VA.
