Julia Susann Pierce

She was preceded in death by her father, William F. Pierce (September 16, 2021) and her mother, Darlene S. Pierce (March 27, 2023).

She is survived by her brother, Stuart (Barbara) Pierce of Leesburg, VA.

Julia was born December 21, 1968 in Lansing, Michigan. After attending elementary, middle and high school in Vienna, VA, Julia attended photography school in Australia.

Julia was an animal enthusiast. She loved all animals and specifically her beloved dog, PJ. Julia was also an avid reader and writer and loved to cook. Her happy place to relax was in the Outer Banks, NC.

Julia's ashes will be taken to Iowa (date to be determined) to be buried alongside of her mother.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the ASPCA in memory of PJ, who also passed away several days after Julia. PJ was so traumatized by the passing of Julia that he declined very rapidly and the veterinarian determined that the most humane option was to end his suffering.
