He was preceded in death by his mother and father, June and Sam, as well as his brother Sammy. He is survived by his wife Karen, his children Taylor, Kendall, and Jackson, as well as his two sons-in-law Drew and Kris, along with his two sisters Tina and Mary.
First and foremost, Joe was a family man, and always said family was the most important thing. He never met a stranger, and was always ready to help anyone who may need it. Joe loved all things Harry Potter, was a lifelong Miami Dolphins and Baltimore Orioles fan, and had a dad joke cued up at all times. He was a proud graduate of East Carolina University, an Army vet and dog dad. In the end, traveling and vacationing with his family was the way he enjoyed spending his time the most.
Joe was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but spent his childhood living in Havelock, NC. As an adult he lived in Cherry Hill, NJ where his 3 children were born, before moving to Virginia. He spent many years raising his family in Midlothian, VA.
A celebration of life for Joe will be held Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian, VA 23113, with a reception to follow.
