She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Conway “Connie” Dufilho; son, Thomas C. Dufilho Jr.; and her brothers, William H Purves Jr. & Robert D Purves.
She is survived by her son, WM “Mac” Dufilho (Rose); her daughter, Ann D. Lambert (Mike); grandchildren, William T. Dufilho, Jason P. Dufilho (Brit), Amy L. Weeks (Bo), Zachary Lambert (Trista), and Jacques Lambert (Lindsey); and great grandchildren, Ellie, Alec, Sage, Ryder, and Rowan.
Jeannette was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, where she graduated from Ursuline College. In New Orleans, she was an active member of the Metairie Women’s Club.
Jeannette moved to Richmond in 2000 and loved her adopted home. She always said “I know more people in Richmond than I do in New Orleans”. She was very active in catholic parish churches: both Church of the Epiphany in Richmond and St. Matthew in New Orleans. She volunteered 6 days a week in Richmond at various places including Johnston Willis Hospital, Ginter Hall Nursing Home, and Church of the Epiphany. In her free time, Jeanette enjoyed round dancing, ceramics, home decorating, sewing, sewing and more sewing. She will be missed by all that knew her.
A funeral mass will be held at noon on Saturday, November 11 at Church of the Epiphany, 11000 Smoketree Dr. North Chesterfield, Virginia, 23236.
