Glenda Cart King

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elroy and Elwanda Cart.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Frank King; her sons, Dr. Brian (Rebecca) King, Todd (Bridget) King and J. Kyle King; and her brother, Steven (Sherry) Cart. She was loved and adored by her 4 grandchildren, Aidan, Vivian, Quin and Nicholas.

She loved watching and listening to basketball from her alma mater, University of Kentucky, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. It was rare to find her without a book or crossword puzzle in her hands. She loved the Outer Banks of North Carolina where she enjoyed many 4th of July weeks with family and friends. She had a great capacity for joy, a wonderful sense of humor and an infectious laugh and smile. Most of all, she loved her kids and watching her grandchildren grow.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8pm on Tuesday, March 14, at Woody Funeral Home - Huguenot Chapel. Services will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, March 15, at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 2700 Dolfield Dr. North Chesterfield.

In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to your favorite charity in her name. And, smile.
