Dorothy Price Hawkins

HAWKINS, Dorothy Price , passed from this world into the next on May 24, 2016 at the age of 94. She lived a full and wonderful life and would tell us all not to cry because it is over, but smile because it happened.

She was preceeded in death by her husband of 45 years, Carl Sr., her parents, Seward and Louise Walke Price and her brother, Vernon.

She is survived by her three children, Carl Jr. (Duanne), Steve (Chris) and Suzanne (Andrew); six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Dot was a life long Methodist and a church circle member, as well as a member of the Garden Club and the Chesterfield Historical Society; however, her main passion was her family whom she loved very much. Dot was deeply religious and would tell people she had not read the Bible all the way through once, she had done it twice! Her smile and loving kindness will live forever in our memories. She will be deeply missed.

Her family will recieve friends at the Huguenot Chapel of the Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Road, Midlothian VA 23113 Friday, May 27 (Tonight) from 6-8 pm. and where funeral services will be held Saturday, May 28 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Jay Carey officiating.

Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
