I am very sad to learn of Aunt Denise's passing, even though I met her when I was very young and didn't get the chance to know her, I remember my dad adored her. My mother is also very sad to hear of her passing and has fond memories of Denise.

I've known Gene since 4th grade. We have been able to keep in touch over the years, because of his job. I only met Denise once, when she rode through Salt lake City with him. We talked so easily for hours. We've talked on the phone over the years. Gene and I have talked about her many times as he stops here and passes through. I feel like I have known Denise more than just our single visit, and I considered her a friend. 
I know how much Gene loves Denise, and will miss her. I just want him to know, I'm sure there are a lot of people just like me that are going to miss her also. Thank you Denise for your vicarious friendship we had through my longtime friend Gene.

I was deeply saddened to hear about Denise. She was a good friend and neighbor for the past seven years. My prayers go out to her family and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone. I'm sure gonna miss my fig eating friend from Virginia....I'm sure when she got to heavens door she was going 90 mph with a bingo dauber in both hands. Love you all
