LEE, Carolyn Pozald, 91, died May 17, 2019 in Midlothian, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Lee, Jr.; her daughter, Alison Lee; and her grandson, Joseph Drysdale. She is survived by four children, Barbara Homiller (Jerry), Audrey Lee, Linda Daykin (Albert), and George Lee, III (Christina); nine grandchildren, Charles Homiller, Jr. (Rebecca), William Homiller (Lucy), Michael Daykin (Michele), Carol Baxter (Brandon), George Daykin (Danielle), Matthew Daykin (Angie), Jennifer Pajula (Vesa), Laura Coston (Chris), and Campbell Lee; and 16 great-grandchildren, Emerson Baxter, Miriam Baxter, Avrie Daykin, Cara Daykin, Kayleigh Daykin, Lee Daykin, Luke Daykin, Magnar Daykin, Masyn Daykin, Morgan Daykin, Charles Homiller, III, Frances Homiller, George Homiller, Justin Homiller, Henrik Pajula, and Maria Pajula. Born June 6, 1927, in Hartford, Connecticut, to the late Charles and Anna Pozald, she spent her formative years in Connecticut, where she met her husband of 66 years, George. First in Connecticut, then Montgomery, Alabama, and then Dunwoody, Georgia, they raised their five children and made happy memories with their grandchildren. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she will be affectionately remembered for her soft touch on the piano, her quiet strength and her comforting laugh. A memorial service will take place at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Richmond, Virginia at a later date.
