Britt, C. Warren 86, passed away in Midlothian, VA, April 10, 2017. Warren was born in Zuni, VA on November 1, 1930 to the late Annie Lanier and Henry Cameron Britt. He was a graduate of Windsor High School and the University of Richmond. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp.
Warren was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “Dot”, his sons, Nelson E. (Donna) and Warren H. (Lisa), his granddaughters, Mary H. Britt and Michelle B. Mason (Jonathan), his brother, Robert L. Britt, several nieces and nephews, his furry children, Miss Kitty and Furosha and numerous furry grandchildren. Warren was an active member of Bon Air United Methodist Church and loved his Sunday school class. Warren retired from Travelers Insurance Co after 37 years in Commercial Audit. He then came to work at his son’s law firm where he handled the firm’s books for 20 years.
Warren’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife of 65 years whom he knew from the time he was 12 years old. Together, they traveled, made some wonderful friends and lived life to the fullest. His sons and granddaughters completed his life. Warren touched many people with his smile and gentlemanly demeanor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held April 14, 2017 at 2:30pm at Bon Air United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Jude’s Research Hospital or your favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.Woodysfuneralhome.com
