Calvin Ford Johnson

JOHNSON, Calvin Ford, 89, of Bon Air, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on March 10, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Wilma Falls Johnson; his children, Jane Nagel, Ben Johnson and wife, Renee Leathers, Chris Johnson and Katherine Davis, Joni Johnson and Craig Anderson; his cherished grandchildren, BJ and Danny Nagel, Erin and Emilie Johnson; and his brother, Ralph Johnson (age 92) and wife, Ruth, of Little River, S.C.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to his doctors and nurses at Johnston Willis Hospital. Calvin was born the 11th of 12 children in Gaston County, N.C. on June 7, 1924 to the late Benjamin and Alice Johnson. He was an Army Air Force World War II veteran, long-time member of Bon Air Presbyterian Church, loved his family and woodworking.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Huguenot Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1020 Huguenot Rd., Midlothian. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Bon Air Presbyterian Church, 9201 W. Huguenot Rd., North Chesterfield.
