He was born to Clennie and Josephine Boyle in Crewe, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Earl Boyle and Lewis Boyle; his daughter, Lori Boyle Willis; his son, Joseph Boyle; and his nephew, John Boyle.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Geraldine Johnson Boyle or Gerri, as everyone knows her; his beloved daughters, Angela Boyle Gillson (Robert) and Monica Boyle Wakefield (Shannon Ray); his grandchildren, Matthew Willis, Hannah Willis, Colin Wakefield, Carter Wakefield (Kayla Bailey), Rebecca Wakefield, Isabella Gillson and Lillian Gillson, and numerous nieces and nephews. His family meant the world to him.
Bobbie was an avid reader, he loved being outdoors, watching wildlife and working on word searches. He enjoyed hunting with his friends and his son. Bobbie retired after working 35 years from DuPont, in 2007, and his longtime dreams of living in Tennessee, working at Dollywood and owning a red 1967 Corvette Stingray, became a reality. Bobbie had been attending Oak City Baptist Church in Seymour, TN and he read his Bible daily. Christmas time was his favorite time of the year and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 3 from 6-8 pm at Woody Funeral Home Huguenot Chapel in Midlothian, Virginia. The funeral will be at Woody Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4 at 11 am with the interment at Crewe Cemetery at 1:30 pm. The family will be accepting visitors for fellowship and food at 8400 Bagette Rd, Richmond VA, 23235.
