Virginia Moore

Virginia Johnson Moore, 94, of Midland, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at her home. She was born on May 17, 1918 in Crowell, Texas to D.P. Yoder and Pearl Fay Yoder. Mrs. Moore graduated from Snyder High School in Snyder, Texas. She graduated Illinois College of Podiatry, Chicago, Illinois. Virginia was active in practice of Podiatry in Midland from 1948 until 1983 when she retired. She attended St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s, A.V. Johnson, and Percy H. Moore; four brothers and two sisters.

Those left behind to honor and cherish her memory are her son; James H. Johnson and wife Alice of Hearne, Texas; daughters, Pat Creighton and husband Jay of Rosanky, Texas and Virginia “Bunny” Williams and husband Steven of Stephenville, Texas. Virginia also leaves behind four grandchildren: Justin and wife Kendra Creighton, RoAnn and husband Brent Bartsch of Dale,Texas, Karen and husband Brandon Greenhaw of Glen Rose, and Jennifer Williams of Stephenville. She also leaves behind nine great grandchildren: Jesse, Jake and Jett Creighton, Bradie and Bailey Bartsh, Corbin and Will Boyd, Evan Greenhaw and Sam WIlliams.

A Visitation has been scheduled for Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Highway, Midland, Texas 79701 between the hours of 6:00pm-8:00pm. A graveside service has been scheduled for Monday, December 17, 2012 at Resthaven Memorial Park at 10:00am.
