She was known for her strong, charismatic nature and her love and loyalty to family and friends. She had a great sense of continuous compassion for others and especially her grandchildren. She was always there for anyone when needed her.
Virginia was a woman who was strong in her faith and family. Her natural authority was matched only by her natural generosity. She was a true legend that touched so many. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Virginia is preceded in death by her brothers, Clyde Reyes, Cruz Reyes, Augustine Reyes, and Bruno Reyes and grandson Brandon Melendez.
She leaves behind Christina, Everisto, Buddy and Larry Melendez, all of Midland, Texas; her father and mother, Merejildo and Eusebia Reyes; sisters, Lydia Mancha, and Pasquala Rodarte of Houston, Texas; brothers, Anastacio Reyes, Claudio Reyes, Guadalupe Reyes and Merejildo Reyes Jr.; grandchildren, Izea and Sophia Rodriguez; Larry Jr. and Laurrisa of Lancing, Michigan; Josh Melendez of Midland, Texas and Jessica Lujan, Veronica Lujan, and Kimberly Lujan also of Midland, Texas.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Ellis Funeral Home. There will be a funeral mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00 a.m.
