Truman came to Midland in the late 1940’s to visit his sister Grace Rhodes. He didn’t intend to stay but he met the love of his life, Dorothy Rotan. They were married in 1950 and made Midland home. Truman was born in Greenfield, MO on July 7, 1928. He was an outdoorsman. He loved spending time at the lake and doing some fishing. He was a very practical, modest man. He worked very hard, and retired as a Plumber.
Truman Hall is preceded in death by siblings: Irene Murphy, Georgie Burleson, Grace Rhodes, and Nellie Parker. He is also preceded by his parents, Mary E. Colvert Hall and Charles F. Hall.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Hall of Midland, TX; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles L. Hall and wife, Wilma of Midland, TX; Randy P. Hall and wife, Ann of Midland, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Pamela K. Stamper and husband, Mike of Midland, TX; brothers Raymond Hall of Atlanta, GA; and Robert Hall of Willard, MO; and sister Margaret Devine of Greenfield, MO; and his brother-in-law, Foy Rotan, and his wife, Sarah. Truman is also survived by his grandchildren: Chris Hall, Corey Hall, Cara Hall, Randy A. Hall, Sam Hall, Matt Hall, Shawna Sims, Staci Brookshire, and Justin Stamper. In addition, he also leaves 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.
Service for Truman Hall will be on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 10: 00 AM at the First Assembly of God (100 W. Wadley Midland, TX 79705-5217). Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Chris Hall, Corey Hall, Randy Hall, Sam Hall, Matthew Hall, Justin Stamper, and Mike Sims.
