Terence (Terry) Patrick Hannon was born March 18, 1966 in Midland, Texas to Charles and Betty Hannon. He died March 30, 2016 in Odessa. Terry graduated from MHS in 1984, he was co-captain of the Bulldog football team. He graduated from ENMU in Portales, New Mexico in 1990.
In August 1992 Terry and Rene’ Lynn McLeod were married. Their children are Alex Lee, Morgan Rene’, and Brady Edward. After working for his father and with his brother Ted in the family oil business for 15 years, Terry left to pursue his dream of being a personal fitness trainer. His consuming interests in boxing and weight lifting continued until his death. He was a cast member of the reality show “Black Gold” for three seasons, playing the role of “Tank”.
Terry married Jennifer Kain on March 18, 2010. Jennifer’s triplets Hannah Faith, Spencer Montana, and Logan Harrison became his step-children. The triplets and Brady attended Fannin Elementary together. The three boys played GMFL football together and it was on that football field that Terry and Jennifer found love for a second time.
Terry was preceded in death by his beloved father Charles in 2007. He is survived by his loving wife Jennifer and her children Hannah, Spencer, and Logan Kain - juniors at MHS. Son Alex, wife Kristin and daughters Hannah and Brynlee of Midland, daughter Morgan, a senior at Midwestern State in Wichita Falls, son Brady a junior at Rockwall Heath in Rockwall and his first wife Rene’ also of Rockwall. He also leaves behind his mother Betty Hannon Koonce, her husband Gearl of Georgetown, TX, brother Ted, wife Susan and sons Sean of Houston and Trevor, wife Rie’ and daughter Mio of Hayward, Ca. Terry’s sister Brenna McCurry, husband Brian of Odessa and their children Cole of Ft. Worth, Cody and wife Lauren of Tyler and Kelcie of Austin.
The family will host a visitation at Ellis Funeral Home on Tuesday April 5th from 6 to 8 PM. A memorial service celebrating Terry's life will be on Wednesday April 6th at 3:00 PM in The Ellis Funeral Home Chapel, Midland, TX.
