Alan and Sarah Stone celebrated the arrival of Scott Alan Stone on August 11, 1983. He was taken tragically from this world to continue his journey with the Lord on February 27, 2011. Scott was the light of our lives and his loving nature will surely be missed.
Scott’s persistence and ambition for success was apparent in all aspects of his life. Through each and every obstacle, Scott’s high expectations of himself were truly illuminated by his constant perseverance to achieve his goals. These beautiful traits were built throughout his childhood. Scott’s sense of humor carried him through the good times and the bad times. He enjoyed spending time helping those around him. His priceless smile touched the hearts of all who crossed his path. Scott was involved in a wide range of activities which include Little League champions three years in a row, Magician skills, and a proud Boy Scout building box cars with his Dad. His lifelong love of the outdoors was derived by his favorite pastimes as a child spent fishing, camping and hiking along the Red River with his family. Scott also attended Kids College with Roxanne, the “Roving Reporter” as she interviewed the “Mad Magician” who always entertained all by giving the best performances. Scott enjoyed his close relationship with his mother and his big heart was shown by writing romantic poetry that very few had a chance to know. Taking after his older brother with the art of drawing Scott loved to draw. Scott was a true leader in all that he did. With family and friends, he was always a protector and provider. At work, Scott loved challenges and excelled in solving problems of any kind. From mechanical to technical Scott’s abilities were apparent. Scott was promoted to driller at the young age of nineteen, less than two years after entering the oil field industry.
Scott was preceded by his father Chester Alan Stone, Uncle Steve Stone, and cousins Tawnya and Matthew Harwell. His aunt Debra Sanders, Uncle Calvin Sanders.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his mother Sarah Stone, sisters Brandi and Roxanne Stone, and brother Chad Stone. Maternal Grandparents Delbert and Audrey Murphy. Paternal Grandparents Dale and Lena Stone of Pearland, TX, and Sue Delgado of Baytown, TX. Nephews; Blake McCord and Kaden Stone Atchison; nieces Skylar Stone, and Taryn Luckey all of Midland, TX.
