Robert (Bob) London of Midland, Texas passed away on the 28th of June at the age of 75. Bob was born February 11, 1938 to Charles and Lorene London who preceded him in death, along with his older brother Richard. Bob is survived by his wife, Karen, and children Reid London, Nicole Hartley, and Christopher Kidd. He also is survived by 6 wonderful grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. Bob graduated Northwestern University in 1960 where as a hurdler he was captain of the track team, and then went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy. Those who knew him know he loved to share stories about his rewarding experiences in both endeavors. A survivor of childhood Polio who was expected not to walk again took great pride in his track accomplishments and carried on an athletic lifestyle as an avid golfer and tennis player. He spent his entire professional career with Allstate Insurance, retiring with Allstate in 1993. He now looks forward to again seeing love ones lost and will proudly watch over the lives of his family members as he waits to be with them again one day.
A funeral service and reception will be held at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 1:00pm. Graveside service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas. If desired, donations can be made to the charity of your choice, or flowers may be sent to the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home.
