Ricky Edd Cagle was born on December 26, 1952 to Will Edd Cagle and Mary Lynn ‘Garrison’ Cagle in Clarksville, Texas. Ricky married DeLane ‘Grant’ Cagle on November 26, 1988 and soon were blessed with two children, Cortney Lane Cagle and Cody Garrett Cagle. He worked in the oil field most of his life. He worked as a steering tool operator for Lainco and Gulf Tex Wireline Services. Ricky worked for C and M Services, Inc. of Imperial with his father-in-law Carl Grant. He worked as a production foreman for Lariat in Ft. Stockton and transferred to Andrews to work as a senior production foreman for Sandridge Energy. He finished his oil field services after working for Millennium of Iraan.
Ricky Cagle is survived by his wife DeLane Cagle; daughter Cortney Cagle and her sons Colton and Dawson; son Cody Cagle, all of Iraan; brother Jerry Cagle and his wife Joyce of Odessa and their children Christa Knox and husband Chris of Odessa and their kids Ailiann and Emma, Kendra Cagle of Ft. Worth, Kara Barner and husband Jeremy, their children Bristol and Briley of Christoval, and Clint Claskey of Odessa; sister-in-law Dottie Grant of Monahans, and her children Jacqueline Pullen and husband Jeremy of Monahans and their daughter Brooklyn Paul and husband Victor of Hawaii; Carla Davis and her husband Zeth of Monahans and their children Crystal, Marshall, Weston and Corbin. Jennifer Hall and husband Joe of Monahans and their children Kaiden, Saitlyn and Klayton; sister-in-law Joy Choate and husband Rick of Arlington; mother-in-law Martha Grant of Arlington; sister-in-law Pam McLaren and husband Steve of Klondike and their children Travis McLaren, Trevor McLaren and wife Lauren of Lubbock and their children Emma and Dallas, and Tayton McLaren and wife Becky of Allen and their daughter Pyper. As well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father and mother; cousin Shelia McClendon; nephew Kevin Pena; papa Fred Morquette; father-in-law Carl Grant; brother-in-law Marty Grant; great niece Brecklyn Barner, and friend Willie Gathings.
A viewing will be held at the Ellis Funeral Home in Midland, Texas at 801 W. Andrews Highway, on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Services will be held at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 3, 2017.
