Todd was born in Midland on October 21, 1959 to Martha and Truman Rhodes. He graduated from Midland High in 1978 and went on to receive a degree from the University of Texas in 1982. Other than his college years, he lived and worked in Midland his entire life, running a successful business at Rhodes RV Storage. Todd married Donna Santacroce in 1984. He was a faithful husband and father of two. Steadfast to faith and family, Todd was a lifelong member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church where he served in many capacities.
Todd loved to play and watch golf, and fishing was high on his list. A seasoned outdoorsman in his younger years, he enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting, and rappelling. Todd was a member of the Andy Griffith Show Rerun Watchers Club and could quote most episodes. He was very giving; those close to Todd never knew a better gift giver. He loved to shop year round for unique gifts and bargains. A proficient welder, electrician, and cook, he was very self-sufficient.
Todd was preceded in death by his sister Tracy Rhodes and mother Martha Rhodes, and he is survived by his wife Donna, son Ford, daughter Haley Fielder & son-in-law Tristan Fielder, father T.L. Rhodes, brother Tim Rhodes, sister-in-law Reina Rhodes, several nieces and nephews, and lifelong friends Joel Lanier, Steve Chase, and Dave Pruitt.
